Module 2: NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001 in Practice

This is the module that most participants find most immediately useful. NIST AI RMF organises AI risk management around four core functions: GOVERN (establishing accountability and culture), MAP (identifying and analysing AI risks), MEASURE (developing metrics and monitoring processes), and MANAGE (implementing risk response and recovery). ISO 42001 wraps a formal management system around those functions the policies, procedures, controls, and continual improvement processes that auditors and certification bodies assess. By the end of this module you should be able to conduct an AI risk assessment, document the results in a form that regulators accept, and build the monitoring infrastructure to detect when risks materialise.

Module 3: The EU AI Act and Regulatory Compliance

The EU AI Act has four risk tiers: unacceptable risk (prohibited), high risk (extensive requirements), limited risk (transparency obligations), and minimal risk (essentially no specific requirements). The placement of a system in one of these tiers determines everything about how it must be built, tested, documented, and monitored. High-risk systems which include AI used in credit scoring, hiring, biometric identification, and critical infrastructure require conformity assessments, technical documentation, human oversight mechanisms, and post-market monitoring. This module walks through what each of these requirements actually means in practice and how to build the internal processes to meet them. GDPR implications for AI decision-making and India's DPDPA are also covered.

Modules 4 and 5: Leading the Team and Keeping the System Running

The fourth module is about the human side of AI programme delivery: how to structure cross-functional teams that include data scientists, security engineers, legal professionals, and business owners with different incentives and different languages. AI centre of excellence models, AI vendor evaluation frameworks, and change management for AI adoption are all covered. The fifth module is about what happens after deployment model drift detection, AI incident response procedures, retraining lifecycle management, and the documentation requirements that increasingly appear in regulatory frameworks and audit requests.

 

Do You Need to Know How to Code for CAIPM?

No.This question comes up in almost every inquiry we receive about this certification, so let us be clear: C|AIPM is not a technical engineering certification. You do not need to know Python, you do not need to understand how a neural network is trained, and you do not need any prior AI experience.

What you do need is a background in IT management, project leadership, or governance and the willingness to engage seriously with the concepts of AI risk and regulatory compliance. If you can read a NIST document and translate it into operational requirements, you have the base skills for this programme.
